About me

I am a Temporary Detective Superintendent for Humberside Police, and I currently have thematic responsibility for Partnerships and Protecting Vulnerable People unit. I have 26 year’s service in Humberside Police in where I have been a Detective Sergeant and Detective Inspector for Core PVP and MOSOVO (Management of Sexual and Violent Offenders).

Before my temporary promotion to Detective Superintendent, I was the Detective Chief Inspector in the Vulnerability Hub for two and half years in where I have just overseen a HMIC PEEL inspection in where we obtained outstanding. Over 40 other Police forces have now visited the Vulnerability Hub to review its operating model, as a result of this and my knowledge within this area I now deliver nationally on the PPSLP course (Public Protection and Safeguarding Leadership Program) at the College of Policing. I have also now reviewed a number of Forces on their operating model with regards vulnerability and child protection and submitted papers with recommendations and how they can change their strategic and operational model. As a result of this I have been asked to join the VKPP (Vulnerability Knowledge Practice Program) in where I will attend Forces around the country and complete peer reviews on vulnerability and child protection.
