Course aims

To develop an improved understanding regarding Modern Day Slavery including an exploration of types and trends, to enable practitioners to respond appropriately.

Course objectives
  • Explore types and trends of Modern Day Slavery
  • Exploring the push and pull factors that lead people to becoming enslaved
  • Examining motivation and methods of slave masters
  • To develop practitioner confidence in being able to recognise Modern Day Slavery
  • To have gained an understanding of the National Referral Mechanism and local policy and procedure
